We make every effort to comply with environmental legislation while at the same time, ensuring our constant improvement. In 2007, we are pleased to report that Towngas complied with all relevant environmental legislation, receiving no environmental warnings. At the same time, we identified room for further improvement in the management of our contractors. Two of our contractors, unfortunately, did not meet requirements under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance and Noise Control Ordinance. Action was subsequently taken to correct the situation and strengthen our contractor management system. As a result, we have now introduced contractual requirements for our contractors to submit and implement Environmental Management Plans.
